Microswitch replacement

I need to replace both microswitches in my Redring Expressions 500. As far as I can see to do this I need to remove the whole tank assembly. How do I do this? I can't see how to remove the tank clip. Does the assembly just lift off and push back or is there a seal & if the latter will I need a replacement. Do any of your videos cover the procedure (I couldn't find one on YouTube). Thanks.

First this is a nightmare job!

It can be done in place, If you want to remove the Tank base assembly it will make it slightly easier. BUT undoing the base assembly clip is not easy and it will often break, you can normally reuse the seal with out too much difficulty.

Below is a photo of the tank base assembly replacing the micro switches is not for the faint hearted.
