switched shower off

Switched shower off at switch on front of shower panel and forgot to switch off at the isolator with result the shower switched back on again and started running. Would this be a faulty switch?

In the past when the shower was switched off on the front panel there was a slight delay after the stop button was pressed before the shower water stopped. Is this normal or is it a sign there was a component beginning to fail. Many thanks.

These showers have a phased shut down of a couple of seconds, if this has stopped working then the relay could be faulty.
