Noisy motor

My shower is really slowing down and it sounds like the motor is about to give up. This is a brilliant shower but its the second one I've got in 5 years. Does the motor go that quickly and can if it is the motor can it be replaced rather than the whole shower?

It maybe the brushes or the  whole motor that is going , so you could replace the brushes to see if this helps or the whole motor.
