TRIAC PCB

My redring selectronic shower will not move from setting 1 when switched on. I have tested the elements and the thermal cutout and these all seem to be Ok. The only way I am able to get the water to heat is to decrease the inlet water flow which then has a knock on effect on the amount of water supplied at the shower head. Is it likely to be the Triac that is at fault? What's the best way of testing this to confirm?

This could be the Triac board

The problem with the Selectronic is the only reasonable way to fault find is by substitution and this is not a practical solution for DIY, as you would need all the internal components to substitute with the original  to find out which part is faulty and as the parts are expensive, your best option is to call out a shower specialist, or contact Redring for one of their engineers.

Also we are unwilling to take any of these components back if they have been installed as we then can’t be sure whether they are defective or not.
