Salamander home boost does it comply?

How does this pump get around the water byelaws that prohibit the use of a pump directly onto a water main?

Strangely enough it does comply.

It won’t boost the pressure beyond 1.5 bar as the pressure in the mains rises the pump works less hard if the pressure in the mains goes above 1.5 bar the pump cuts out, also the flow is limited to 12lts per min  which makes it comply with the regs.

It is an incredible bit of kit, have a look at the video on this site.
