cannot control showering temperatures

Our shower will not run cold. Even with the control knob on completely cold, it is still warm enough to shower under, and in fact that is the only way you can still use it. The shower when turned up is dangerously hot.

You really need a new thermostatic mixing valve

However it may just be the cartridge filters that are blocked, the mixing valve is sold as a sealed unit however the cartridge can be taken out, but you do have to be careful to get the seals back in the right position when refitting.
