Loss of shower boost

Looking at the questions asked by others I think I'm having a similar problem with my Showerforce 1500XT. Recently when turning the shower on the normal start/stop button gets the shower running to temperature, but then when the shower boost button is pressed the motor whirrs, boosts the flow for about 5 seconds and then the flow reduces in power again, with the motor sounding like it's working really hard. Changing the temperature to hot or cold makes no different to the flow. It would be good to know which part of the shower is broken so I can either replace the broken part or the whole shower unit.

I think you have blocked filters in the temperature cartridge or you have a partial air lock.

 

Regardless, from your description it sounds like when you set the pump to boost it is running out of water
