temprature control

when we turn shower to cold the water runs hot and very hot not able to use shower unless we turn the temprature down from the bolier

Sounds like piston that controls the temperature is sticking, below is an link to an exploded view of the valve

I think a strip down clean lube and fitting a service kit should solve the problem.
