Sirrus Calvus - unable to turn off shower

Turning off this shower has become more difficult in the past few months. Tonight it wouldn't turn off at all and I had to use the isolating valves to stop the water flow. Is it likely that a seal kit would solve this problem? If not, I note from your website that the 1600 cartridge assembly is no longer available - is there an alternative I could use or would I need to purchase a completely new surface mount sequential shower assembly?

The first step is to try a service kit , as as you say the cartridge is no longer available and there is no alternative that can be used in its place. If the seal kit fails to do the job or the cartridge is damaged, which is sometimes the case, then you are looking at replacing the whole shower valve.
