Flow restrictors

I am moving the location of my Sirrus 1850 shower and thought I would strip it down and service it with one of your kit before I put it back.

I removed the elbows and then too late noticed that one has a green 8 restrictor and the other a yellow six and don't know which is hot and which is cold!. We have a combi boiler. How do I work out which way round they go?

Greenin the cold, yellow in the hot, often the green in the cold is all that isnecessary, the yellow is not required.
