Sirrus 1850 cartridge replacement

Hi,

I have just ordered a replacement cartridge ( I already have the new thermostat), as the old cartridge was a wreck when I finally got it out for a seal service, and I had hell of a job getting the old cartridge to slide away from the brass nut, which should have warned me.My question is, will the new cartridge slide into the original brass nut (if there isn't a new nut with the cartridge) as per George's video?I am a bit dubious.Appreciate your assistance with this.

Yes they should fit together ok. Just be sure to grease them up well and check that the "O" ring at the end of the nut is in good condition.
