Sirrus TS 1850 shower (installed 1999) - Water runs hot

Hi - no adjustment to temperature possible - seems as if the control knob just turns without resistance. If we isolate hot water, cold runs OK and vice versa but just hot when together. Current shower is white but if replacement part is not available, then a chrome replacement would do. I've attached photo FYi. Thanks.
