Is the TS1850 a direct replacement for a TS1851 surface mounted.

Yes it is the 1800 series which all have the same basic body.

Follow up questions would be is the TS1850 still available if so at what price. would the 1850 fit as a direct replacement for a 1851 withithout the need for any plumbing alterations.
finally my TS 1851 has started outputting tepid water regardless of the temperature setting,all other kitchen and bathroom hot taps output hot water as usual. any suggestions as to possible cause. Thank you for your prompt response to my initial question..

Have you considered just servicing the existing valve there is a video at the foot of this page
