Hi have managed to find the utube instructions but have stumbled on the first hurdle as had difficulty in loosening the spindle screw. Is it possible to obtain a replacement part no 560540 for my TS1503 OPAC shower control unit? I have your set of washers to proceed further

Thanks Derek Harniman

furthet to our exchange of messages I have managed to strip the unit down and replaced washers where I have had access to but have 2 points on which I would appreciate some assisatnce

! Amongst the service package I could not find a replacement O ring to fit over the sleave on which the control handle fits on to the spindle which means that it has some movement on it when turning.

2 In the video it shows how to dismantle the cartridge but I was unable to see how he puts in the spanner to hold when unscrewing as the are seems to be clear where as I cannot see how to this as an internal sleave inside of the cartridge and I could not identify any mention of this in the video

My Model is a TS1503 Poac control unit purchase in 2004

Any further guidance you can give would be appreciated

Thanks but this does not really answer the question of how to obtain the o ring that fits over the head on which the thermostat control handle fits on or if the inner section of the half cartdridge can be removed and how

The old "O" ring is usually used for the handle as there is no replacement.

The cartridge is split by inserting a flat metal rod through the slotted opening at the back of the cartridge and the top half unscrewed.

Thanks for your help on the o ring but I am still confused in relation to the cartridge as on the video where it is shown how to remove it and comment is made on the spring and plastic piston it clearly shows the slotted opening is blocked. The video then proceeds to demonstrates unscrewing by inserting a flat metal rod. Where I have the confusion is what is inside the cartridge and how it is removed between the two sections of the video

Sorry to keep asking questions

You need to turn the spindle to open up the slot in the body of the cartridge.
