Rothwell R995 Antique spindle broken

My shower does not turn off the handle just spins please can you tell what section is at fault as i have looked and it is not apparent to me.

It sounds like the spindle on your shower has snapped and that part is obsolete now . You can however buy the internal cartridge  which has the spindle included and you can find the spares via this link provided - http://www.showerdoc.com/shower-spares/sirrus-by-gummers/GUM-PARENT-30-Sirrus-Rothwell-R995-Antique
