O-Rings for SK1500-2

Hi, could you advise if the O-rings either side of thermostat piston SK1500-3 (either side of Part 7 on the schematic, labelled 'A') are required for installation? I notice the cartridge comes with a spare. I have ordered a new cartridge but looking at the schematic again I did not find these O-rings when I opened up the unit yesterday? Is it possible these have deteriorated and washed down the outflow pipe as I have noticed a water pressure drop since removing for inspection and re-installing again.

Thanks

The ‘O’ ring that comes with the cartridge http://www.showerdoc.com/shower-spares/sirrus-by-gummers/gum-sk1500-2-sirrus-thermostatic-cartridge-(no-thermostat)-standard-sk1500-2  and the ‘O’ ring that comes with the pistonand stat. Are the same ‘O’ ring http://www.showerdoc.com/shower-spares/sirrus-by-gummers/gum-sk1500-3-sirrus-thermostat---piston-sk1500-3

The ‘O’ ring fits inside the brass body of the shower, youmay need a torch to see it, you may also need something with a bit of a pointon it to pierce it and sort of hook it out, make sure that the groove that the ‘O’ring sat in is clean, give the new ‘O’ ring a smear with silicone grease and itshould push into the groove relatively easily.
