ts 1503 themostatic

water drips from the spindle when the shower is in use. have purchased the service kit, but unable to remove spindle. any ideas?

First you need to remove the cartridge from the valve.

 

This is an exploded view of the valve

When this is removed you need to slide a flat bar throughthe slots (A file or something similar will do)

 

Using the flat bar and a spanner on the nut, unscrew thefront half of the cartridge from the body, when they are separated,  remove the circlip from the end of the spindle,you should then be able to push the spindle and thrust nut etc out from thebody of the cartridge housing
