Sirrus TS1600 Cartridge Assembly

I had a dripping shower head so I replaced all the seals. It works ok but I noticed that the recess where the O-ring sits in the spindle valve (the one that stops the water dipping) has corroded away. I suspect the cartridge will not last forever and as the TS1600 is no longer available what do you suggest I do? Replacing the whole shower unit with a different type will involve removing tiles from the shower cubicle which has only recently been replaced. Also, why have they been discontinued?

You would have to ask the manufacturer "why have they been discontinued?"

You may have to bite the bullet and replace the shower at some time.

Finding one with a larger wall plate may reduce the problem with removing tiles etc.
