can you tell me do i have to remove the whole shower to change a sirrus 1600 thermostat or is it a easy thing to do thanks

It is not necessary to remove the unit as the entire internals can be removed from the front of the valve.
If you click on the link below it will take you to an exploded view of the 1600 which should be of help, you can also order any parts required online via the same link.
When reassembling remember to libricate with silicon grease.
