Can't get the valve out of Sirrus Ts 1850

I need to replace the internal valve as the shower constantly drips when off and now does not get sufficiently hot to have a shower. I took all the handles off and outer cover but the main valve with 46mm nut will not come loose - any ideas? People who put this in originally just connected up the pipes and did not screw the valve to anything so it is moving when i apply pressure to nut. If I can get this out I can buy the valve from yourselves as this is the only place I've found it!

It may be easier to remove the valve from the wall before trying to remove the cartridge. Also some WD 40 sprayed on it may loosen it.
