TS1500 vs TS1600

Hi, I watched your very well presented video for servicing the TS1500 Cartridge with great interest. I have a TS1600 and the internals of the cartridge looks the same, apart from where the knob fits in, i.e. the back spring, the wax element and the piston. My piston has about three plastic bits where it holds the wax element, broken. My question is, what is the difference between the TS1500 & TS1600, is it just the front half of the cartrige? i.e. can I use anything from the TS1500 to replace on my TS1600 like the wax element, the piston etc. as from your video, they seem very similar parts, specially the piston and the wax element.
