Mk IV Float Switch - Life Span

Is there an average life span of the Mk IV float switch - ie wear on the bridge / body etc. assuming it switches approx 10 - 15 times / day ?

A customer is having intermittent problems.

The switch is approx 6 - 8 years old.

Sorry I can’t give a definitive answer for that  however they are not known for wearing out, certainly not after 6>8 years.

However there are occasions that they just become faulty.
