Isolating a Monsson pumps

The isolation valves built into the flexible hoses have plastic heads, which are fairly soft and look like they will just damage easily. Is there a special tool for turning these or do you have a tip for successfully turning them off without damaging them?

Yes they don't look that good however the appear to work OK.

Just make sure you use the right size screw driver to turn them, to small will carve up the slor in the plastic and too large will also damage the slot.
