Silicone Grease

Clear silicone grease - grease is an essential when fitting new O-Rings / parts to a shower (and many other things). Some manufacturers provide black grease - this is a clear grease.
I advise wearing thin gloves when using it as any grease on your hands isn't easy to clean off, especially when like me I had to turn the water to my house off.
It does the job well, I didn't have any problems with O-Rings sealing after using it.
