PSM041 Exposed thermostatic shower mixer

Our shower seems to be leaking around the large bolts. Could it be that the washers need replacing or do we need to replace the entire shower. If it is just replacing washer is it easy to do.

You should check to see if the washers are deteriorated first before buying a new shower.
