How do I remove the cartridge from valve o replace with new one . Thank you

You need to remove the retaining ring that is holding the cartridge in place.

That is the problem, is there a special tool to remove it and if the brass retaining nut splits does the new valve come with a new one ?

Thank you

Bob

If you spray the retaining nut with WD 40 , then use a flat screwdriver in the slots to tap the nut around, it should come off. There is no replacement nut that comes with the cartridge , so be careful.
