This question is regarding Mira Thermostatic Cartridge - 200556

lefty and Brooks thermostatic Godolfin GD8700 Shower water temp problem

The water starts cold for a minute or so, then runs very hot. If you then try and add cold water the water stops coming out! Before we buy a replacement thermostatic cartridge have you any other suggestions what the problem could be.

The filter on the cartridge maybe blocked, if not the cartridge could be faulty.
