trevi boost mains pressure shower with elipse kit built in

How do you remove the existing cartridge? I cannot see which tool is required to remove the small fixing labelled no. 8 on your diagram.

Part 8 is a threaded bolt with a x head.

Once you have removed parts 20 and 21 on the diagram you will see the hex part of the cartridge on which you can put a spanner to remove the cartridge.

Do I use a posi screwdriver to undo the bolt head in part 8 and do I need to turn the water off first?

It looks like the head of the screw is damaged.

You do not need to turn the water off to remove the thermostatic cartridge.

Pliers or similar tool may do the job.
