Trevi A3102 built-in CTV thermo knob assembly

Hi, I have a Trevi A3102 built-in CTV shower and I've replaced the thermostatic cart. I can't get the grey plastic cylinder to stay in place... I can push it and it clicks into place (little black plastic part slides over the brass shoulder of the valve), but when turning it it soon pops out again. I don't really understand how it operates. Any advice please? By the way, George's showerdoc videos on Youtube are BRILLIANT, but how I wish he did some on the Trevi shower. Any hope you might beg him for that? :) Many thanks for any advice you can offer on how to reassemble this much appreciated (wife is currently very sour about my incompetence!).

First check that you ordered the correct cartridge

Pull the red horseshoe clip forward and out, push the black lever to the right, if you look inside the carrier you will see the two black prongs pull back push the cartridge back on to the cartridge and let the lever go the black prongs are supposed to engage in the slot just behind the tapered bit on the front of the cartridge.

Once this is in place then refit the red clip

The temperature may now need recalibrated you will find this on page 10 in the manual
