Trevi A3102 CTV Built In - running luke warm

This shower is at least 6 years old (that's how long we have lived there) It's a Trevi shower and seems to match the A3102 model going by the pictures & diagrams I have found online. Just in the past few days it has started to run from hot to just warm/cold.......even when the thermostat is all the way round to the hot side, it's still just luke warm, previously this would have been even to hot to touch almost. I have taken all the covers off & just wandering what to try next - could the valves need cleaned out? Does the thermostat need re-calibrated? Just want to try and few things first before purchasing a new thermostatic control cartridge. What would you suggest & have you any video demonstrations? Cheers

Regarding the temperature fluctuation or cool running, it could be a faulty cartridge. However to check this if you have the shower fed from a combi boiler, see if you can get hold of the hot supply pipe at the boiler.

If when holding this pipe the temperature fluctuates or goes cool, then the problem is not with the shower but more likely with the boiler, as the shower can only deliver what the boiler sends to it.

Disregard the temperature at the taps as they have a different flow rate.

Check that the inlet filters and those on the thermostatic cartridge are clear.

Thank you for the feedback.

We don't have a combi, hot water is fed from a water tank to all taps in the house. All other taps in the house are running the hot water normally & with good pressure.

Any other 'how to' documents on how best to clean the filters / cartridge would be helpful.

Cheers
