crossover hot and cold water

I have been told that there is a cross over of the cold water into the hot feed when the shower is turned on.This is the reason why we are getting cold/very lukewarm water when the dial is turned to hot.

What part do I need for the trevi ctv exposed shower valve to correct this problem?

Thanks.

There are check valves fitted in the shower inlets that are supposed to stop crossover of the supplies perhaps they have become faulty.
