Trevi Shower

Hi, I have 2 x L6811AA Trevi Moonshadow showers. Both of them are virtually impossible to switch on now (become very stiff), I have a water softener so assume its not a build up of limescale. I've tried to take the unit apart but it doesn't seem possible. In this situation do I need to buy a full replacement T value T Valve Complete for L7064AA - E960738AA for £100? Or is there any other spare that I should be using?

If it is the bar part that is stiff on the showers then you may need to replace the , www.showerdoc.com/trevi-t-valve-complete-for-l7064aa-e960738aa

If it is the wall part then this should help,
