Shower hose connecter

The washer at end of the shower hose (connected to the wall fitting) has carroded ,so water is leaking from the fitting. I bought a replacement hose which is 1/2 but the measurement on the end of my old hose is 3/4 across so when the 1/2 was screwed to fitting coming out of the wall, water was coming out. My shower is over 18yrs old, would that have Imperial measurements. I have a gold hose, nothing wrong with the head that working OK.

I would probably need to see a photo of your shower to be absolutely sure, however the threads should be OK in terms of size.

On occasions you may have to double washer or even treble washer the nndes of the hose to get them to fit properly.

Most people will reuse the washers from their old hose if you happen to have thrown them out then you can get spares at the link below.
