Trevi therm pre 1996

The shower does not get more than luke warm in normal use. It is run from an unvented cylinder without a balanced cold supply, the cold is directly from the main. If the cold taps in the bathroom basin are run the shower gets hot.

Is there a solution (pressure reducing valve on cold feed maybe?) or if I have to replace the unit will a modern trevi fit without modifying the pipewrok as it is completely tiled in and can't be accessed.

Thanks

First check that the filters on the cartridge are clear. Also check the head and hose are not blocked, and if all this is ok then you are correct a prv would be the next step.
