Trevi A3097 Outline CTV Built-in -Water won't turn off.

If the Trevi Cartridge Therm / Traditional Post 98 S960134NU was faulty would it cause this problem?If so how would you know that it was faulty?

Definately not the thermal cartridge as this only controls the temperature , much more likely that you need to replace the gear wheels which can be ordered online by clicking on this link.
