Dimensions of shower head holder

Hi there. I need to replace a shower head holder.

What do the dimensions (e.g. 25mm in this case) refer to - is it the diameter of the rail? Or the diameter of the shower head (that fits into the holder)? (Maybe they are the same?) Or something else?

Also, if it's the diameter, how do I measure it for my rail (measure the circumference with a dress-maker's tape and divide by Pi??).

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Measuring through the centre of your shower rail outside edge to outsideedge, will give its diameter and you can use this to find the correct size whenchoosing a slider bracket which will fit.
