Triton Agio

Bit of a dumb question, but I got a Triton Ago 8.5w shower fitted got Christmas and was wondering why when I turn the power dial to 0 the water still runs? I have to turn the shower off at the mains and water tap that's connected to the shower, is this the right thing to do or is there something wrong with the shower?

If when you switch off the shower at the mainisolator and the shower keeps running then you have a faulty solenoid.
