pressure relief device

Why is water coming out of the pressure relief device when you turn Shower on does it need to be replaced
Asked 9 years ago by Anonymous

Yes!  I think the pressure relief device has blown.

It’s a safety device usually foundon the bottom or side of the heating tank or on the outlet pipe

It is fairly easy to replacehowever there is usually something that causes it to blow,

Often a kink in the hose or theshowerhead is blocked, so check this before fitting the new PRD.
