water pouring from rubber tube behind outlet to shower cable

there is a rubber tube that comes down out of the bottom of the unit which is situated behind the outlet tube which connects to the shower cable. one day water started pouring out the bottom of the unit and this is where the water is coming from this rubber tube which ive never noticed before. where should this rubber tube lead to? it looks like it is meant to be hanging down behind the outlet piece but water has never come out of it before. water still comes out the main shower head but with less pressure. is there a piece missing that should be covering this rubber tube or does it just need reconnecting somewhere else in the unit?

any advice would be much appreciated, thank youuu

I think the pressure relief device has blown.

It’s a safety device on the bottom of the heating tank or outlet pipe

It is fairly easy to replace however there is usually something that causes it to blow,

often a kink in the hose or the showerhead is blocked, so check this before fitting the new PRD.
