shower problem

having had a triton as2000x fitted last year the plumber left

me a small piece of square plastic i was told not to lose

this as it very important if work was caried in the future

i having refurbishments caried outat the moment igave this to

the plumber and he does not know what its for could you help

please many thanks

I presume this plastic part had some ‘U’ shaped grooves cut out of it?

If it has then it is for releasing the pipe work from the shower unit if you ever need to remove the shower.

It is not essential however it makes the job much easier.
