Carbon Brushes replacement

How do you get to the Carbon Brushes to replace them. Do you have to take the motor out completely, in one if your videos the engineer has the motor already in his hand , before changing the brushes. Is there a less complicated way.

you could try removing the screws that hold the motor on and pulling the top of the motor forward to fit the brushes , but it usually is easier to remove the motor altogether before doing this.
