Temp Control Dial lack of movement

Hi, in recent months the temp control dial has shopped moving in its full sweep, when we first had the shower the dial would sweep through about 270 degrees with a comfortable temperature when the dial was pointing upwards in the 12o'clock position, now we have to have the dial set to the 9 oclock position to get a comfortable temp and you can't turn the dial clockwise back to the 12 oclock position. What could be causing this? Scale build up?

Blocked filters could be causing the temperature problem however, it is unlikely that, that is the cause of the sticking temperature control it sounds like it must be starting to size up which will mean replacing the temperature control valve.

My advice would be to check the filters and if that doesn’t solve the problem then think about it before replacing the temp control valve, as at the moment we have new AS2000XT at a very reasonable price.
