Excellent replacement for original AS2000

After about 8 years or Triton Aquasensation pump eventually failed and I went straight for AS2000XT as a direct replacement. It's fitting is exactly the same as the old model. Same screw holes and everything, but now with a cool on / off button and a slightly more modern design with a chrome 'slash' across the front.

There are two things I had a slight issue with.

1. Getting the old shower off the wall was a nightmare. The pipe inlets had gripped the pipes on the wall and after about 2 hours of huffing and puffing and gentle teasing I had to resort to a hack saw. Don't hack saw the pipes off. I cut the back out of the old shower, unscrewed the pipe inlet valves from the body of the shower and then cut these to split them and release the pipes.

Putting the new shower back on the wall took no more than about 10mins. Nice clear instructions and diagrams.

The only thing I would say is at commissioning stage, turn the water all the way to cold first, hold the shower head pipe up high to the ceiling, then drop it down fast to the bath. This creates a siphon effect which draws the water through. Repeat by turning all the way to hot and doing the same thing with the pipe. You should be getting a constant stream of water out of the pipe with no spitting or air bubble sounds. That is the only area of the instructions that leave a little room for interpretation, but if you follow that step, you'll have no problems.

All in all, a great product from a great company that I would use again without hesitation.
