Shower went bang

The shower was running then just went bang and blew the main trip. Taken the cover off and the wire from the pcb board to the thermal switch is black on the ends and look like it's been hot, on the back of the cover there is a black scorch mark too. Hope you can help, thanks Lee.

The mark on the cover is caused by the brown wire. You would have to replace this and the two pcb`s . The brown wire is not sold as a spare part , so the best thing to do would be to replace the whole shower.

Problem sorted, I removed the pub and the tank and discovered the neutral had been touching the positive and somehow worn its way though the neutral cable. Had everything tested by an electrician and had the cables replaced. Now works like new.
