TCO on Triton T80si failed

Hi,

I purchased a new TCO from you yesterday which arrived today.. thank you.

I did a continuity check of the new part before fitting and it 'pinged' ok. I also did a continuity check of the old part after taking it off and that did not 'ping'.

I then checked the Continuity of the new TCO after being fitted but before the power was turned back on and the Continuity checked failed... I then turned the power back on and the shower still did not create hot water.

Does this mean the TCO failed as soon as it was fitted and before the power was reapplied... what would cause that and what is the answer / next step.

The next thing to do is loosen the earth connection onto the TCO and test the continuity again. Also check the top of the can where the TCO sits to see/ feel if this area is raised.
