Triton Marbella Hot / Cold

Should thermal cut out on top of tank constantly switch on and off to keep temperature constant? TCO on bottom of tank is switching on and off cycling water hot and cold.TCO on top of tank does not seem to be switching. Water pressure is ok. Good connection on bottom CTO.

The TCO is a safety device and only comes in to play if the water overheats

A faulty TCO will have no continuity across the two terminals (The black thing on top of the heating tank)

Therefore a good TCO will have power at both connections and a faulty TCO will have power at only one.

(The function of the TCO is, if the water over heats it cuts the power off to the elements)

See Video.

The outlet TCO is also a safety device however this only shuts off one element so the shower will go cool rather than absolutely cold.
