Triton Opal: 9.5kW Hot/Cold cycling

Our 2 year old triton opal 9.5kW? (40A mcb) is cycling hot and cold, flashing the low pressure light whilst water flows continously although outflow pressure seems to fluctuate slightly.

I don't wan't to spend more than a new one on the wrong parts.

I have looked on forums and checked the low pressure switch on Power/relay board and it seems to make & break fine and doesn't seem loose.

I have tested heater top TCO tested for continuity with a multimeter as per your video and it shows high resistance (failed?) with safe isolation applied although it looks in good condition visually. could this be the faulty part/culprit? In one of the answers below you say that if temp is cycling then heater top TCO is fine.

faulty TCO or solenoid valve??

Many thanks

Sam

This sounds more like a water supply problem than the TCO.
Check with your water supplier whether there has been a reduction in supply pressure or flow.
Check that mains stopcock and any isolation valve in the supply to the shower are fully open.
Check that inlet filter in shower is clear.
If all above are ok then it is likely to be the stabiluiser/solenoid valve at fault, replacement can be ordered online by clicking on the link below.
