Blue 'bits' clogging shower, causing PRV to burst

Hi.

I was wondering if you knew what the blue/turquoise 'bits' the block up my shower might be, and which part I can change/update to ensure that I'm not having to replace the pressure release valve (PRV) so often. I'm on to my fourth PRV - every time I flush the shower after a PRV has 'burst' I see blue/turquoise bits falling from the shower (this clears up after a few minutes). I I think they might be limescale? We live in a very hard water area.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thismay be copper sulphate coming from the inside of the heating can or fluxresidue from the pipe work when the pipe work was installed.

Onceyou have  replaced the PRD  remove the shower head turn the shower tofully cold and let the water blast through for about three minutes this shouldremove any debris from the pipe work, after that just make sure that you keepthe shower head clean.
