Kettling Noise coming from shower.

I get a kettle-like noise when using my Triton T80si shower. Unlike the other similar poster, I have no other problems yet, the heat stays on & in control.

Stopcock is fully open. I tried cleaning & descaling the sprayhead without success (I live in a soft water, limescale-free area). The kettling is worse on higher heat settings, as expected, and runs on after switch-off for a couple of seconds. It also occurs running with the spray head removed so water comes freely from the flexible pipe. I tried turning the temperature control up & down repeatedly, no luck. There seems plenty of water flow coming through the shower (e.g. with head removed).

My partner complained today of a whistling noise coming from it, but I can’t reproduce this symptom. Is this kettling fault likely to be an inlet filter restriction, or the stabilising valve?

Kettling  in its selfis not particularly a problem it can be caused by many things, however if thiscarries on after you switch the shower off for any more than 2 or 3 secs. thenyou may have a switch that is stuck in the on position which is keeping one ofthe elements energised.
