WATER COMING FROM TUBE NEXT TO SHOWER TUBE

Hi, i tried to fit a new shower head today not a triton one but when i turned on the shower hardly any water would come through and then it started coming through the small plastic tube next to the main one. I removed the shower head and put the old back on but it is still the same. Hoe do i stop the water coming through the small tube and put more power through the main tube.

I think the pressure relief device has activated.

It’s a safety device on the bottom of the heating tank or outlet pipe.

It is fairly easy to replace however there is usually something that causes it to activate, often a kink in the hose or the showerhead is blocked, so check this before fitting the new PRD.

I think you have fitted the wrong type of head. Some of the heads available in the sheds shut of the flow if you change shower pattern when the shower is switched on causing back pressure and the pressure relief device to activate.

Below are two links to Triton heads one for the complete range and one for the head I would recommend
